Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1
Journey from Nairobi to the Great Rift Valley and Maasai Mara
You will depart Nairobi in the morning, making a brief stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint to marvel at the escarpment. The drive continues down to the floor of the valley and into the Maasai Mara, arriving in time for lunch. After settling in, you will head out for your first exciting afternoon game drive, tracking big cats and herds of grazing herbivores until sunset.

Day 2
Full Day Exploration of the Maasai Mara
Today is dedicated entirely to exploring the vast plains of the Maasai Mara. After an early breakfast, you will depart with a picnic lunch for a full day game drive. You will visit the Mara River where hippos and crocodiles reside, and where the dramatic wildebeest crossings take place during the migration season. Your guide will work tirelessly to find the Big Five and explain the intricate balance of the ecosystem.

Day 3
Morning Game Drive and Return to Nairobi
You will rise early for a final sunrise game drive, taking advantage of the cool morning air when predators are highly active. Alternatively, you may choose to take an optional hot air balloon safari. After returning for breakfast and checking out, you will drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon.
