Overview
This five day itinerary is a classic Kenyan safari route. It begins with a boat ride on Lake Naivasha to see hippos and an exhilarating walking safari among herbivores on Crescent Island. Next, you visit Lake Nakuru to witness rhinos and flamingos. The grand finale is two nights in the world famous Maasai Mara National Reserve, ensuring you have ample time to track the Big Five and witness the raw drama of the African savanna.
Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1
Nairobi to Lake Naivasha
Depart Nairobi and descend into the Great Rift Valley. Upon arrival at Lake Naivasha, you will take a boat ride on the freshwater lake to observe hippos and fish eagles. You will then visit Crescent Island for a unique guided walking safari, walking safely alongside giraffes, zebras, and impalas without the barrier of a vehicle.

Day 2
Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, you will drive the short distance to Lake Nakuru National Park. Following lunch at your lodge, you will embark on an afternoon game drive. This park is a highly successful sanctuary for both black and white rhinos, and you will spend the afternoon tracking these magnificent beasts alongside flocks of flamingos lining the lake shore.

Day 3
Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara National Reserve
You will depart Lake Nakuru early and drive through the Rift Valley to the legendary Maasai Mara National Reserve. You will arrive in time for lunch. In the late afternoon, you will head out for your first game drive in the Mara, exploring the vast plains in search of the big cats that make this reserve famous.

Day 4
Full Day Safari in the Maasai Mara
Today involves a full day of game viewing in the Maasai Mara with a packed picnic lunch. You will drive to the Mara River to look for massive crocodiles and hippos, and scan the savanna for lions, leopards, cheetahs, and massive herds of elephants and buffaloes.

Day 5
Morning Game Drive and Return to Nairobi
Enjoy a final sunrise game drive in the Maasai Mara. After breakfast and checking out, you will drive back up the Rift Valley escarpment to Nairobi, concluding your ultimate five day adventure.
