Overview
This seven day safari offers a dramatic contrast between Kenyas distinct ecological zones. You will start in the cool, dense forests of the Aberdare National Park, staying in an iconic tree lodge where wildlife visits the floodlit waterholes at night. You will then move to the foothills of Mount Kenya to explore the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, home to the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa and a chimpanzee rescue center. The journey then transitions to the Great Rift Valley at Lake Naivasha before culminating with two nights of spectacular Big Five game viewing in the world famous Maasai Mara National Reserve.
Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1
Nairobi to Aberdare National Park
You will drive from Nairobi into the central highlands. Upon reaching the Aberdare region, you will have lunch at a base hotel before transferring to your iconic tree lodge inside the national park. Spend the afternoon and evening observing elephants, buffaloes, and potentially leopards coming to drink at the lodge floodlit waterhole.

Day 2
Aberdare to Ol Pejeta Conservancy
After breakfast, you will descend from the tree lodge and drive towards the Laikipia Plateau, arriving at Ol Pejeta Conservancy. After lunch, you will embark on an afternoon game drive. The conservancy open plains make spotting wildlife remarkably easy, and you are highly likely to encounter elephants, giraffes, and several black rhinos.

Day 3
Rhinos and Chimpanzees at Ol Pejeta
Today includes a visit to the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary. You will then continue with a comprehensive game drive across the conservancy, tracking prides of lions and solitary leopards. You will also have the option to visit the endangered species enclosure to see the last two remaining northern white rhinos on the planet.

Day 4
Ol Pejeta to Lake Naivasha
You will leave the Mount Kenya region and drive down into the Great Rift Valley. Upon arrival at Lake Naivasha, you will check into your lodge. In the afternoon, you will take a boat ride on the freshwater lake to observe hippos and fish eagles, followed by a guided walking safari on Crescent Island.

Day 5
Lake Naivasha to Maasai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, you will drive through the Rift Valley towards the Maasai Mara. You will arrive in time for a late lunch. In the late afternoon, you will embark on your first exciting game drive in the Mara, seeking out lions, cheetahs, and elephants until sunset.

Day 6
Full Day Game Viewing in the Maasai Mara
This entire day is dedicated to exploring the vast expanses of the Maasai Mara. You will carry a picnic lunch so you can maximize your time in the reserve. You will visit the Mara River to view hippos and crocodiles, and spend hours observing the complex interactions between predators and prey.

Day 7
Morning Safari and Return to Nairobi
Enjoy a final sunrise game drive in the Maasai Mara. After returning to camp for breakfast, you will check out and begin your journey back to Nairobi, concluding your seven day highland and savanna adventure.
