Tsavo West National Park

The greener, more rugged half of the Tsavo ecosystem, famous for the Mzima Springs, volcanic landscapes, and excellent rhino and elephant sightings.

About Tsavo West National Park

Tsavo West National Park covers over 9,000 square kilometres of diverse terrain in southern Kenya, making it one of the largest protected areas in the world. The park is characterised by volcanic hills, lava flows, ancient craters, and the crystal-clear Mzima Springs, where hippos and crocodiles can be observed through an underwater glass panel. The Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary within the park protects a growing population of black rhinos. Chyulu Hills on the western boundary add dramatic scenery and host rare fauna including African wild dogs. The park is greener and more visually varied than its eastern counterpart and offers a genuinely diverse safari experience.
