About Nairobi National Park

Nairobi National Park is a unique conservation area located just a short distance from the central business district of Nairobi. It is the only national park in the world situated within a capital city, offering an extraordinary contrast between wildlife and urban development.

The park features open grass plains, scattered acacia bush, and riverine forests that support a wide range of wildlife species. Visitors can expect to see lions, black rhinoceroses, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and numerous bird species.

The park plays a crucial role in rhinoceros conservation and serves as a sanctuary for endangered species. Its accessibility makes it ideal for short visits, day trips, and travelers with limited time.
The park is located approximately seven kilometers from Nairobi city center and is easily accessible by road. Visitors can use private vehicles, taxis, or organized tours. Accommodation is available within Nairobi city.
